Clinical Faculty Positions Available for Fall 2013
We are recruiting for two Clinical Faculty positions as part of the Department's Success in Undergraduate MathematicS (SUMS) initiative. These positions will begin in fall 2013. Clinical Faculty are an integral part of our efforts in teaching and coordinating entry-level mathematics courses.
The Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for two Clinical Faculty positions at the rank of Instructor, beginning in fall 2013. These non-tenure-track positions offer an initial three-year appointment that is renewable with annual review. Primary duties are entry-level mathematics teaching, facilitating professional development of graduate teaching assistants, supervision of graduate teaching assistants and adjunct faculty, course coordination, curriculum development and instructional innovation, and communication with client departments regarding course content and expectations. Candidates must have a record of excellence in teaching college-entry-level mathematics, commitment to learning and success for all students, strong leadership abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills. At least a Masters degree in mathematics or mathematics education is strongly preferred, but candidates who demonstrate comparable preparation and an outstanding record of success in mathematics teaching will also be considered.
