The First Oklahoma PDE Workshop

Introduction

The First Oklahoma PDE Workshop is the first of a series of workshops that will be held annually and rotationally at Oklahoma State University (OSU) and University of Oklahoma (OU). This workshop, hosted by OSU, is focused on PDEs modeling fluids and features some of the world's leading experts on this subject.

  • Contributed talks and funding

    Besides featured lectures given by the invited speakers, around fifteen short communications (20-minute presentations) will also be arranged. If you are interested in giving a short presentation, please send an email to
    with the message body including your affiliation, research interests and contact information. Please also indicate in your message if you need financial assistance for your travel expenses. This workshop is partially supported by the National Science Foundation and we expect to provide partial support for a limited number of participants. Advanced Ph.D. students, recent
    Ph.D.'s, women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply for funding. The deadline for application is October 31, 2009. Applications received by this date will receive full consideration.

  • Travel-related information

    Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma and is about 75 miles from either the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City or the Tulsa International Airport in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We suggest that you fly to the Will Rogers World Airport. We will provide group transportation from the Will Rogers World Airport to the Oklahoma State University campus.
