If you are having problems with your account on one of the math servers, one of the math servers is behaving oddly, one of our printers is showing an error message and won't print or the printer is out of paper, see the system administrator. From 8-5 on weekdays you can stop their offices or send mail to sysmgr@okstate.edu. After 5 and on weekends the admin can reached by mail.
If you are having problems with your PC, fill out a form in the Math Office and place it in the problem inbox. A support person will contact you.
If you are in the MLRC and having trouble with a PC, there see the staff on duty.
If you're having trouble dialing in from home or with an account that's not on a math department server you need to talk to CIS. They have an office in MS113. For more info on contacting them see the CIS Helpdesk Home Page.
If you need help using Unix there are several options. First there is the
man command. Just type man command. This
will give you the syntax of a command, what the command does, and it's
options. We also have info on the Linux machines. This is a
text based help program that can be started by entering info on
the command line.
You can also check the Computing Tutorials page, the books in the terminal room (MS421), and these Howtos.
