How Do I Log In To One of the Unix Servers?

From an X-terminal: Select the system you want to log in to from the telnet menu. If there is no telnet menu up press the key labeled setup. If your keyboards setup key is labeled in blue there should be a second blue key on your keyboard. Press and hold that second blue key. While that key is depressed, press the setup key.Click on the Terminals menu and select New Telnet. This should bring up the telnet menu.

Once you've selected the system you want to log in to, enter your username and password when prompted.

From a PC: You may do this in many ways. The most common is to use a program called SSH Secure Shell Client. Run this program--it will be in the windows subdirectory of the harddrive. It may also have a shortcut on the desktop or in the program menu. After you have this program up, use the file or connect menu to connect to a host. You should then be able to login into our servers.
