OSU is in the midst of a major fundraising drive, Branding Success. One part of this is a donation by Boone Pickens of matching funds for scholarships. Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students is an important need of the Department of Mathematics. In order to take advantage of the matching funds the donation must be at least $50,000. That is too large for most of our alumni and friends. The Department is able to pool the donations of many in order to reach the matching level as long as the donations are to a single endowment fund. Also donations do not have to be immediate but can be pledged and contributions made over the next five years. Pledges must be received by Oct. 31, 2010 Feb. 26, 2011 (deadline extended).
