BASIC DEGREE PROGRAMS

The Department of Mathematics offers two undergraduate degrees, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Both provide a solid basis in mathematics, whether you plan to enter the work force directly, or to pursue graduate studies in math or another field. Participants in the University Honors Program can earn Departmental Honors for either math degree.

This section compares course requirements for the two degrees, gives hints on filling out degree sheets, describes the differences in taking math as a major, a minor, a second major, or a second degree, and briefly describes the graduate-level programs in mathematics also offered at OSU.
