OSU's Research Scholars Program allows outstanding incoming freshmen to work on a research project under the direction of a faculty member. Research Scholars receive a cash scholarship and also earn academic credit for their work.
Topics for both undergraduate research projects and Senior Honors projects cover a wide spectrum of mathematical subjects, including algebra, applied math, calculus and analysis, computational math and computer graphics, differential equations, geometry, mathematical modeling, mathematical physics, mathematics education, matrix groups, number theory, probability theory, and topology.
