Faculty members, visiting professors, and graduate students frequently give talks on current topics, research projects, and graduate thesis research. These informal presentations are a great way to learn about the newest research in various areas of math, are generally open to everyone, and give you a chance to meet other students and faculty. You may even get to give your own talk based on a Senior Research Project or the results of a recent Research Scholars Program. Be sure to watch the bulletin board outside the Math Department and to read the Math Major's Monthly to see when and where these talks take place throughout the semester.
