Several organizations work with OSU to run academically-oriented summer camps for high-school students. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), and The American Indian Science, Technology and Engineering Consortium (AISTEC), both run four-week-long camps that encourage high-schoolers to pursue careers in science and technology. There are also Regent's Summer Camps, which run for one week and teach students about range of topics, mathematical and otherwise.
Math majors are often hired to work for these camps. You may serve as a counselor (living in the dormitories with the campers), as a lab assistant, or as a teacher's assistant. For more information, see Dr. Wolfe in Math Sciences 414.
