Your Instructor

Study your instructor. Your instructor is a guide to the material of Technical Calculus. As you take notes be aware of how your instructor presents certain topics and how you instructor remembers mathematical facts. Each time you instructor solves a problem in class, he/she presents a model for how to approach and solve a problem. Each time your instructor answers a question in class, he/she presents an example of how to reason through a question mathematically. Your instructor’s process of mathematical reasoning is just as valuable to observe as the actual mathematical techniques that are applied to solve a problem.

As a mathematics teacher, your instructor has mastered the material of the course. What examples from the text are presented and what examples are skipped? Does you instructor’s enthusiasm for a particular topic increase? Such a topic is an important one and is a good bet to appear on the exam.
