OK. Didja ever hear about "space-filling curves"? Long ago people like Peano and Hilbert discovered that there exist continuous functions that map an interval onto a square in the plane. That's "onto", not "into" - this continuous function somehow manages to hit every point in the unit square. (Comment) Click here here for a picture of a space-filling curve.
