Flow past a rectangular cylinder

    • Problem description. Here we test the pseudostress-velocity formulation for time-dependent Navier-Stokes equation on the flow past rectangular cylinder. The following is the result for Re=200, Blockage rate=1/11, mesh size=352*176. The calculated Strouhal number is approximately 0.16129. Some numerical oscillation can be observed in the vorticity contour. We guess this may be caused by using of low order finite element (RT0) in the discretization.
