Undergraduates may earn a minor and have this entered on their
transcript along with their major field. A secondary field of
competence may well be more useful as preparation for employment or
graduate study than a random selection of elective courses.
Mathematics is a logical supporting subject for majors in a wide
variety of fields. The minor in Mathematics is very flexible and permits
courses in a broad range of mathematical subjects
Requirements: The requirements for a minor in Mathematics include 22 hours
at the level of Calculus or above, with a minimum grade
of C in each course. At least half of the total, or 11 hours,
and half of your upper division hours must be completed in residence at OSU.
The required courses are:
