2009 High School Math Contest

The OSU Mathematics department is happy to announce the 2009 High School Math Contest for the high schools in Oklahoma and nearby states. This contest is a challenging exam which emphasizes creativity, logic and problem solving skills. All juniors and seniors with an interest in mathematics are highly encouraged to participate. Students in earlier grades who have a strong background and aptitude for mathematics are also eligible, and are welcome to join the event. We look forward to seeing you at this year's contest.

Fall 2008 High School Math Contest

October 8, 2008

OSU

 

The third of the new series of contests was held on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Wes Watkins Center on the Stillwater campus of OSU. Approximately 200 students participated from the following schools: Crescent High, Earlsboro, Haskell, Norman High, Norman North High, Oakridge, OSSM - Ardmore, OSSM - Enid, OSSM - Muskogee, OSSM - Oklahoma City, OSSM - Regional Center, OSSM - Tahlequah, Porter, SouthWest /Covenant, Stillwater High, Westmore, and Yale. The contest is held annually in the fall. The contest is in two parts. The first part is approximately 20 multiple choice questions. The second part contains about five more difficult problems involving ideas about geometry, counting, etc.

 

Contest Information:

Where: Wes Watkins Center (WWC -- formerly CITD) at OSU Stillwater Campus
When to Enroll: No later than 12:30pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. (Deadline extended.)
When to take the Contest: 1:00pm –– 4:00pm on October 8, 2008
